NAIDOC Week 2022

Northern Queensland PHN (NQPHN) staff are embracing #NAIDOCWeek2022, attending a number of events across the Cairns, Townsville, and Mackay regions.

Earlier today, Townsville staff attended the NAIDOC Week Corporate Breakfast in Townsville where they celebrated the NAIDOC theme and were treated to traditional Indigenous dance performances.

Cairns staff and Board members started the week by attending the Annual Cairns NAIDOC Breakfast on Monday morning, with a panel of inspirational and uplifting speakers setting the tone for the week. In the afternoon staff gathered at each office site to discuss and recognise the importance of NAIDOC Week.

✨ Celebrating the many Indigenous leaders who have driven and led change in our communities over generations. They have been the heroes and champions of change, of equal rights, and even basic human rights.

✨ Reinforcing our commitment towards building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, to improve their health and wellbeing and closing the gap.

✨ Supporting this year’s theme to #getupstandupshowup!
