Join us as we break down why CAPACIT8 matters and what you can expect from the series.
In Episode 2 of CAPACIT8 The Preview, Better Governance, Matt Burrows, NQPHN Executive Director Health System Integration, and Liz Campbell from our Marketing and Communications team unpack how strong governance shapes culture, drives accountability, and builds organisational resilience. It’s a practical conversation on making governance work at every level.
In this episode, Emele Tuinona from NQPHN’s Marketing and Communications team is joined by Jackie and Debbie from Talk About It Tuesday in Cape York and North Queensland. Together, they explore how authentic storytelling builds connection, communicates value, and strengthens trust with communities, stakeholders, and funders.

CAPACIT8: Training program
NQPHN is proud to present the CAPACIT8 Training Program, a purpose‑designed, eight‑pillar capacity‑building and enrichment program for current and emerging service providers and staff across Northern Queensland.
CAPACIT8 is delivered by experienced trainers from within the sector, alongside NQPHN staff. The program is designed to support organisations to strengthen their capability, sustainability, and readiness to partner, both now and into the future.
The CAPACIT8 program includes:
- Practical training across key organisational capability areas
- A self‑assessment to help organisations evaluate their readiness to partner with NQPHN
- Mentoring support to assist participants to work towards their organisational goals
Participants can enrol in the full program or select individual sessions that best support their learning and development needs. All sessions are free of charge.
