Suicide Prevention Community Action Plans

Ten years of local action, collective impact, and shared hope

For more than a decade, SPCAPs have brought communities across northern Queensland together to help prevent suicide through local leadership, collective action and community ownership. By bringing together local knowledge, experience and perspectives, SPCAPs support communities to identify what matters most locally and work collectively towards meaningful and lasting change.

"We just wanted to start a tiny support group. If we can help even a couple of people, it's worth it."

Jackie Perry
