NQPHN announces tender for its ICT managed services

IT managed service providers can now apply for a tender, which closes 7 May 2024

Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is inviting IT managed services providers to apply for its ICT Managed Service Provider Tender. 

The tender opened today, 4 April 2024 and will close on Tuesday 7 May 2024. 

Eligible applicants must be able to provide the ICT managed services in North Queensland from 1 July 2024. The two-year contract will have the option of a further 12-month extension. 

NQPHN is seeking a consultative relationship with a trusted managed services partner to provide and support a robust, user-friendly, integrated, and secure ICT environment, which enables our workforce to effectively deliver positive health-centred outcomes for the residents of northern Queensland. 

Providing services for NQPHN’s three offices, including Cairns, Townsville, and Mackay, the successful applicant will: 

  • manage and maintain NQPHN’s ICT infrastructure 

  • provide helpdesk and user support in conjunction with NQPHN’s IT staff 

  • provide user support periodically at NQPHN’s Mackay office and on an ad-hoc basis as directed by the organisation’s IT Department 

  • advise on and contribute to NQPHN’s digital transformation and future state 

  • advise on and enable best practice process and security in all aspects of NQPHN’s ICT infrastructure and operations. 

NQPHN has full-time onsite IT staff in the Townsville office, however, the organisation requires the full-time presence of an onsite managed service provider resource in the Cairns office and periodic onsite resources in the Mackay office. 

The successful managed service provider will also be responsible for: 

  • desktop support of endpoints, and videoconferencing equipment hardware and software 

  • escalation of support issues to third-party vendors where applicable 

  • setting up and/or moving devices including computers, desk phones, and mobiles 

  • Microsoft 365 support to end users 

  • other duties as required by the NQPHN IT Department.
