Recognising and Responding to Wellbeing Concerns in Young People Living With Diabetes

Supporting young people experiencing mental health and wellbeing concerns can be challenging.

Knowing what to look for, how to ask the right questions, and when to take further action can make a meaningful difference.

This practical webinar will build participants’ confidence in recognising, assessing and responding to mental health and wellbeing concerns in young people living with type 2 diabetes. The session will explore how to identify and screen for risk, communicate effectively with young people, and use practical assessment tools to support early identification and appropriate responses. A case study will provide an opportunity to explore a real-world scenario and identify practical strategies for responding to mental health and wellbeing concerns.

Join us on Wednesday 23 September, 12.30-1.30pm for a free webinar hosted by First Nations Senior Research Fellow, Val Wallace. The webinar features a presentation by Psychologist and Clinical Lead at Headspace in Katherine, Zach Richards.
