Grief touches everyone at some point, whether through the death of a loved one, a major life change, or supporting someone else through their own loss. This free, community based workshop is designed to help you build a genuine understanding of loss and grief, and to walk away with practical strategies and resources you can use straight away.
CORES™ Queensland (Community Owned Response to Eliminating Suicide) delivers this workshop as part of its work supporting communities across Far North Queensland.
You’ll explore
- What grief looks and feels like, and why everyone experiences it differently
- Common myths about grief and why they can get in the way of healing
- Practical ways to support yourself through loss
- How to support family, friends or community members who are grieving
- Where to find further help and resources when needed
This session is open to everyone, whether you’re processing your own grief, supporting someone close to you, or working in a role where you regularly encounter loss and bereavement.
