Extension of the healthdirect Video Call COVID-19 GP Program and the PHN Exemplar Program

The Department of Health and Aged Care has extended the healthdirect Video Call COVID-19 GP Program and the PHN Exemplar Program until 31 December 2024.

GP Program

Practices and general practitioners (GPs) are encouraged to continue using this secure video consulting platform which has been purpose-built for primary care settings, in line with the changes to the telehealth MBS items.

  • GPs in private practice wanting to use the service, can register their practice here.
  • GPs in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) wanting to use the service, can register for access here.
  • For RACGP CPD accredited training in healthdirect Video Call for your practice, please register for essential training here.
  • A Bulk Billing Consent application is now available in healthdirect Video Call to use online.

Exemplar Program
