Palliative Care ECHO is a series of interactive virtual mentoring sessions via Zoom that addresses a range of palliative care topics. It aims to increase palliative care knowledge, skills and confidence in health professionals. For the final ECHO in the series, we will be joined by Fiona Hassmann on the topic NDIS Support.

👩🏻‍🏫 Presenters:  Fiona Hassmann

Fiona Hassmann is the Manager of the National Advocacy Service at the Peace of Mind Foundation, a role she has held for the past five years. Fiona leads a team supporting people living with brain cancer to navigate complex systems, including access to the NDIS.  Under her leadership, the service has lodged close to 1,000 NDIS access applications, achieving an average success rate of 98%.  Drawing on this extensive experience, Fiona will discuss the NDIS Priority Pathway, including legislative access requirements, common barriers, and practical strategies that can assist clinicians supporting people with brain cancer and other life-limiting diagnoses.
