My Health Record-enabled practice software designed for use by specialists is starting to come to market in earnest

The Australian Digital Health Agency (AHDA) has partnered with specialist software vendors to complete designs that seamlessly and securely integrate the My Health Record system into their current clinical information systems.

The following products are My Health Record enabled and are now in general release.

  • BP – VIP.net
  • Clinical Computers
  • Genie
  • Gentu
  • Intrahealth
  • Medical-Objects Specialist Explorer
  • Medical Wizard
  • S4S Software for Specialists.

Other software vendors are in design phase will be aiming to implement and release their new version this financial year.

The key features of new My Health Record-enabled practice software includes the ability to easily upload a copy of your specialist letter into a patient’s My Health Record without interrupting your normal workflow, access, and viewing of all key documents and overviews, upload a copy of the prescriptions to a patient’s My Health Record and allow viewing by authorised non-clinical practice staff.
