Quality Improvement Hub
NQPHN offers a range of Quality Improvement (QI) activities with resources to support general practices in our region to choose either:
- self-paced (where practice staff identify their own focus area utilising existing resources), or
- participation in a facilitated model on a specific topic as identified by NQPHN.
Facilitated QI activity
A facilitated QI activity includes:
- in-practice support from an NQPHN Primary Care Engagement team member to guide you through whole-of-practice QI activity
- RACGP approved clinical audit for GPs to complete on the same topic providing relevant CPD hours
- support to complete the Plan, Do ,Study, Act (PDSA) template which can also be used as evidence for the PIP QI payment and accreditation
- Primary Sense training (population management and clinical audit tool) if required
- ongoing support throughout the activity duration from a dedicated Primary Care Engagement team member
- opportunities to showcase your activities and be recognised as improvement leaders.
Quality Quest
Quality Quest is an initiative of the NQPHN Primary Care Engagement Team. It is a shared framework that brings together quality improvement (QI) under one clear, consistent approach.
It is not a new program, it’s a way of framing and aligning the work we do to make our QI support clearer for practices and easier for us to communicate, deliver, and report.
Quality Quest:
- provides a common language and narrative for QI-focused engagement
- aligns our support with Practice Incentives Program Quality Improvement (PIP QI), accreditation requirements, practice needs, and NQPHN priorities
- helps reduce duplication and engagement fatigue by presenting QI as one connected pathway rather than multiple initiatives.
Each topic linked below offers comprehensive resource packages, making it easy for you to access and utilise the tools you need to implement QI activities at your own pace.
