GP Data Program
About the Data Program
The Data Program is designed to support general practices in making the most of their clinical information. By offering tools, training, and resources, the program helps practices strengthen the quality, accuracy, and security of their data. This ensures information can be used not only for day-to-day patient care but also for planning, quality improvement, and population health insights. The program provides a practical approach where data can be used to guide meaningful actions that benefit both practices and the communities they serve.
Why data matters in primary health care
High-quality data is the foundation of effective primary health care. Accurate, complete, and timely information enables clinicians to provide safer care, identify service gaps, and monitor outcomes over time. It also supports practices for benchmarking performance, meeting accreditation requirements, and participating in quality improvement activities. At a community level, strong data helps to identify health trends, reduce inequities, and inform better resource allocation – to ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of the population.
Data extraction and visualisation tools

It delivers real-time data extraction, secure de-identified reporting, and clinical safety alerts that align with RACGP Quality Improvement Measures and PIP QI requirements. Its seamless integration with leading clinical software means practices can quickly turn routine data into actionable insights that support proactive chronic disease management, accreditation, and MyMedicare enrolment targets, while meeting the highest standards of privacy and data security.
