CVIP – A new tool released by the ADHA to assist health providers connect to AIR without conformant software

The Clinician Vaccine Integrated Platform (CVIP) is used to manage vaccinations and report vaccination information to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).

This tool is recommended for vaccination providers who do not already have clinical software that reports to the AIR. This may include medical practitioners providing outreach services, pharmacists, nurses, and midwives.

CVIP is free to use and available online through a web browser and will be available to downloaded as an app in the near future.

The CVIP tool will allow:

  • patient self-check-in (via a QR code)
  • review current AIR history
  • barcode scanning function to quickly record the supply of a vaccine
  • reporting to AIR.

To use CVIP you must be:

  • registered with PRODA – find out how to register
  • a recognised vaccination provider with a Medicare provider number or AIR provider number.
