Strive Health and Physiotherapy have run a successful general practice in the western growth corridor of tropical Townsville, North Queensland, since 1985.
Our aim has always been to provide excellence in patient care using a patient centred and evidenced based approach.
We are fully accredited and moved into our new, modern, state of the art facility in 2017.
Our team consists of GPs, physiotherapist, nurses, and administration staff.
You will be the first point of contact for our patients, so we are looking for someone with excellent customer service and communication skills and a friendly manner.
Daily tasks and responsibilities include:
- effective management of patient appointments and queries in a professional and friendly manner
- processing patient results, recalls, invoices, and receipts
- maintaining accurate patient records
- processing Medicare, DVA, and medical insurances claims
- assisting the Practice Manager and health professionals with administrative tasks
- maintaining policies and procedures.
Selection Criteria / Preference
- Able to work flexible hours.
- Experience as a Medical Receptionist.
- Intermediate computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with Best Practice software would be advantageous.
- Professional, friendly and courteous manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Shows initiative, good time-management.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Must have reliable transport.
Remuneration: Hourly rate according to AMA Modern Awards based on experience.
