Our practice

Thrive Medical is a small community General Practice located close to the centre of Cairns. Owned and run by local female GPs, we have a very loyal patient base and a great reputation both as a place to work and as a place to receive excellent personalised medical care.

We have a strong emphasis on sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint.

Will you be our new GP?

Due to two of our part-time GPs moving away from Cairns, we have room for a new enthusiastic and positive VR GP to join our lovely team.

• Slow down and earn more with 2-3 patients per hour and enough admin time to get things done during the day.
• 3 - 4 days per week preferred but we can accommodate for the right person.
• You’ll have full books from day one with a broad spectrum of appreciative patients.
• Work with 6 delightful GPs (4 female and 2 male), as well as our wonderful admin and nursing staff - all great value for corridor and lunchroom conversations.
• The practice is in a beautiful renovated 1950s cottage with a warm and friendly waiting room plus an outside children’s play area.
• We’re as concerned about climate change as you and are doing our best to reduce our impact, to educate, and to make a positive difference.
• You’ll love our family friendly workplace with flexible hours. There is no on-call or after-hours work leaving you with time to enjoy the amazing lifestyle Cairns offers.
