Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN), in partnership with the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) invites primary care practices in the Mackay region to register for an interactive one-day workshop designed to strengthen safety, compliance, and confidence in everyday primary care.
Presented by Nurse Education Officer Deborah Kerz this workshop will boost your skills in infection prevention and control (IPC), accreditation essentials, and best-practice reprocessing of reusable medical devices (RMDs).
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explain key IPC principles relevant to primary health care, aligned with NSQHS and RACGP expectations.
- Apply accreditation requirements to assess and improve IPC and RMD reprocessing practices in their clinic.
- Evaluate current workflows and identify improvements to support safer, compliant patient care.
