Wheels of Wellness (WoW) Ltd is a progressive, values-driven not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing free, person-centered primary healthcare to Cairns’ most disadvantaged and vulnerable communities. Our highly motivated team of health professionals and volunteers deliver holistic medical, allied health, and social-emotional support—ensuring every individual feels welcome, heard, and empowered in their healthcare journey.
We provide care through a unique service model, combining mobile outreach and fixed clinic services, staffed by GPs, Indigenous Health Practitioner/Workers, Registered Nurses, Mental Health Nurse and a Social Worker.

As a VR General Practitioner at WoW, you’ll provide primary healthcare to people facing complex social and health challenges, including those experiencing homelessness, mental illness, domestic violence, and poverty.
What we offer:
- Fully bulk-billed service – no financial barriers for clients
- Flexible session times – Early morning, business hours, or early evenings
- Work from either our mobile health outreach sites or fixed practice

About you
Ideally we’re looking for a compassionate and experienced GP who is:
- Vocationally Registered (VR) with 5+ years’ experience
- Skilled in Indigenous Health, Chronic Disease, or Mental Health
- Comfortable working with vulnerable populations
- Experienced in Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) billing
- Committed to clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and community health.
