The highly successful eConsultant program has been funded by the LNP government to expand statewide.
The eConsultant service is available for 8 specialties with a mean response time of 1.8 days for requests for advice and no catchment limits. Face-to-face outpatient appointments are avoided in 77% of cases and GP surveys indicate a change to patient care in 66% of cases. Request for advice are auto-populated from Best Practice and Medical Director with access via a portal for those with other practice software.
