13 HEALTH
13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) is a confidential phone service that provides health advice to Queenslanders. You can phone and talk to a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the cost of a local call.
13 HEALTH provides qualified health advice—it is not a diagnostic service and should not replace medical consultation. In an emergency always dial 000.
Registered nurses provide health-related advice over the phone, including symptom assessment, recommendations for care, evidence-based information, and referrals to appropriate services. They use clinical decision protocols, which are evidence-based and regularly reviewed by clinicians, to determine who you should see and how urgently.
For child health advice and breastfeeding support, ask to speak to a child health nurse (available from 6.30am-11pm every day).
NQPHN Commissioned Services Directory
Our Commissioned Services Directory features an interactive map that displays NQPHN-commissioned services by category and location, making it easier for healthcare providers and consumers to locate and access these services.
The NQPHN directory does not duplicate the My Community Directory tool; instead, it leverages the existing platform and pulls organisational information already listed on My Community Directory.
The aim is to promote NQPHN-funded service providers and raise awareness of these services among consumers and key stakeholders, while improving transparency around the services NQPHN funds and where.
