Part time Practice Nurse

Thrive Medical is seeking a nurse to join their team; you would be working independently as the sole nurse in the practice assisting up to four doctors at one time.

Thrive Medical is a small community general practice located in Cairns North. The team at Thrive Medical are committed to providing high quality care for their patients and foster a welcoming and friendly environment.

The practice nurse role can include:

• patient triage
• immunisations (including childhood) and advice
• Pfizer vaccinations
• minor and complex wound management
• electrocardiogram (ECG)
• spirometry
• assisting with minor surgical procedures
• sterilisation
• chronic disease management
• health assessments
• ordering medical and vaccine supplies
• monitoring medication expiry dates
• monitoring cold chain procedures and recommendations
• maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• cervical screenings.

To be suitable for this position you must have:

• a current AHPRA registration.

Preferred qualifications include:

• endorsed immunisation certification
• cervical screening qualifications.
