The role

Gordonvale Family Medical Centre are offering a full time position with the capacity to see many patients. The nature of their patient demographic is broad and as such, so is the medicine. You'll experience chronic disease, skin cancer, sexual health, work cover, mental health, paediatrics, dermatology, women's health, and more. We have a patient base to support billings in the range of $400k-$500k+

Gordonvale Family Medical Centre is open 8.30am-6pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 12pm on Saturday. 

About you

General Practitioners with Vocational Registration (FRACGP, FACRRM, FRNZCGP, or equivalent) with AHPRA (a must). Non-VR GPs are welcome to apply. 

Ingham Family Medical Practice is on the highway at the northern end of Ingham. It is a purpose-built building and has been operating for 30 years. Formerly known as Ingham Medical Centre, it is now operating as Ingham Family Medical Practice and has been since 2005.

Ingham Family Medical Practice currently has three (3) full-time doctors, and are urgently seeking to recruit a further doctor to join their team. The practice principal, Dr Brett Scott, is a college examiner for ACCRM and RACGP, a trainer for John Flynn and James Cook University, and supervisor for Interns from the Townsville Hospital who rotate every 10 weeks. Dr Scott holds Diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, and has much Paediatric and Emergency medicine experience.

The practice offers audiometry, spirometry, skin checks, and ECGs. They do a variety of health checks and medicals. Sullivan and Nicolaides Pathology are on site, as well as Rural Medical Imaging who provide CT, USS, and X-ray.

Ingham Family Medical Practice have visiting allied health services such as a podiatrist, an audiologist, a dental prosthetist, a diabetes educator, and a visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon. Registered and enrolled nurses provide continuous medical officer support, as well as performing pap smears, asthma, and diabetes education.

The practice is a registered Q-fever and yellow fever vaccination centre, as well as providing the usual private and NHS vaccinations. Visits to their patients at nursing homes are undertaken, and a good relationship exists with all three facilities in the area.

As a practice, they have regular social evenings and family outings. Beachfront accommodation is available for the suitable applicant. Harbour Road Medical (HRM) is a General Practice and Occupational Medicine clinic established 35 years ago in North Mackay, locally owned by the Business Manager.

Mundingburra Medical Centre (MMC) are a fully accredited, GP owned practice offering a wide range of services.
