HealthPathways are recruiting for some extra GP Positions.

The core objective of FNQ HealthPathways is improve patient access to appropriate healthcare within locally available services. Pathways also provide linkages with allied health, community health services and social and emotional community support services. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Knowledge of the health care systems in the Far North Queensland region including key service providers and individuals.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • High level communication and negotiation skills together with the ability to exercise sound judgement.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to logically distil simple information from a complex range of sources.
  • Appropriate computer skills with a proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Requirements for the role:

  • Hold registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medial Board of Australia.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/ manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 12/21 (PDF) and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
