The program provides Video Call licenses free of charge for use by non-GP type primary care services classed as Mental Health, Aged Care, Maternity, Indigenous Health, and Allied Health services.

At this stage, eligibility criteria for access to the Video Call Exemplar Program remains the same and all those services currently enrolled will maintain free access to Video Call licenses. The Australian Department of Health is currently reviewing the eligibility criteria for this program and once these changes are confirmed Healthdirect Australia will promptly communicate these changes. eLearning modules detailing the legislative requirements proposed under the new Medicines and Poisons Act 2019 (when it commences).

• This package contains two eLearning modules designed to assist health practitioners to better understand and meet their legislative requirements under the new Medicines and Poisons Act 2019 and subordinate regulations. It provides an overview of the new scheme including who is authorised to prescribe and dispense monitored medicines, the regulatory framework known as the Monitored Medicines Standard (MMS), and other background information about QScript.
• “High Risk Clinical Scenarios” takes an in-depth look at each high-risk scenario which can be triggered when using QScript. It outlines a health practitioner’s regulatory obligations and how they can be applied in practice.

Clinical best practice

A suite of eLearning modules containing the latest clinical information and advice on each monitored medicine and related practice issues.

• This package contains a series of eLearning modules designed to enhance clinical practice in the prescribing and dispensing of monitored medicine and other related issues. They feature the latest information and research, video recordings of experts discussing complex areas of practice as well as links to useful tools and resources. 
• The modules, are available free of charge, and are accredited by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACCRM) and the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC)   Queensland Health encourages all practitioners who will be using QScript in the future to access these modules as an introduction to both relevant areas of the new Medicines and Poisons Act 2019 and QScript.
