Overcoming telehealth challenges working with RACFs

Posted Thursday 18 April 2024 | Northern Queensland Primary Health Network

With an ageing population and the release of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety report, it is evident for a need for more primary care services to be accessible to those living in residential aged care facilities (RACFs). With this comes a need for telehealth processes between primary health care providers and RACFs.

This 90-minute webinar aims to support general practitioners on how to overcome telehealth challenges experienced when working with RACFs.

In this webinar we will cover:

  • Telehealth within the RACF context
  • how RACF patients can be managed appropriately in place without being transferred to an ED
  • how routinely using telehealth can be implemented as a workflow
  • how to ensure RACF patients receive the right care, at the right time, in the right place.

This webinar is a part of the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) Aged Care GP Support and Capacity Building Initiative and is for general practice staff in the NQPHN region. If you are interested please enter your details in the online registration form.
