Shaping Maternity Care Together - online forum for our healthcare partners

Within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service region, it is projected that births will increase over the next six years. This growing demand means we need to starting planning for the future of maternity care now.

Join the conversation and participate in our online forum. We want to hear from our healthcare partners about how we can make maternity care within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service the best it can be for our local women, expectant parents, and their families. The online forum will provide an opportunity for you to share your experience and perspectives, so we can shape our maternity care together for the future. 

The three key areas which the online forum conversations will focus on are:

• What would good maternity care look like?
• How do we provide a calm safe environment for all labour and birth, regardless of the place of birth?
• What would good communication look and feel like?
