Advance Care Planning Week Keynote Address

The Statewide Office of Advance Care Planning, Queensland Health, invites health professionals in the Townsville region to an in-person keynote address to begin 2024 National Advance Care Planning Week.

Dr Craig Sinclair will deliver a keynote address titled: Supporting decision-making and advance care planning for diverse older adults in the community.

Dr Sinclair is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Psychology, based at the University of New South Wales. His key research interests include older adult decision-making, advance care planning and supported decision-making. He currently leads a multi-centre randomised controlled trial of the EARLI program, a combined life story work and advance care planning intervention among older adults receiving community-based aged care services in New South Wales and Western Australia. Dr Sinclair is also a member of the Advance Care Planning Australia Steering Committee. A 30 minute Q&A Session with Dr Sinclair and other experts will follow the keynote address.

This event is suitable for health professionals working across hospital, community, aged care, policy and administration and research settings.
