Dr Kim Forrest, Neurologist CHHHS
Kim Forrest is a general Neurologist at the Cairns Hospital, with a special interest in Functional Neurological Disorders & Movement Disorders. In collaboration with a small but passionate team of local clinicians, Kim has overseen the establishment and exponential growth of a multidisciplinary FND service for the Cairns and Hinterland Health Service.
Sophie Morris, Physiotherapist CHHHS
Sophie graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1996 as a physiotherapist. Since then she has worked in the profession continuously (apart from some fun traveling years and mumming years!). She has over 25 years of experience in a wide range of physiotherapy settings. Sophie has a broad experience treating a wide range of conditions however her absolute passion is neurology. Sophie has completed extensive professional development, including Bobath and normal movement facilitation, advanced Bobath training in upper limb rehabilitation and spinal injury rehabilitation. High level mobility and running rehab for neurological conditions, and Functional Neurological Disorder management and treatment. Breathwork and Nervous system regulation. Sophie is always extending her skills and knowledge, and approaches each client with a level of care and individualised attention that ensures efficient and effective therapy. She also provides clinical supervision for junior therapists, therapists considering career transitions and education for undergrad physio students.
