Join the Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer online to discuss Cancer Screening.

The LGBTQA+ community experience a number of barriers that may deter them from accessing routine cancer screening services.

This webinar covers:

  • clinical considerations for breast, cervical, bowel, and prostate cancer screening for LGBTQA+ people
  • how you can provide and promote safe and inclusive cancer screening services for this community.

Meet the presenter

Practicing General Practitioner and Associate Professor Ruth McNair (University of Melbourne, Department of General Practice), is a member of the Order of Australia for services to medicine and the LGBTQA+ community through policy and community development. 

The session is designed for GPs, nurses, and any other healthcare provider, with an interest in cancer screening and there is no cost to participate.

There are two CPD points available to RACGP members for each webinar. All registered participants will be sent the webinar recording after the event.

These webinars are facilitated by the Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer (ACPCC) with funding from the Victorian Department of Health and initiated with the cancer screening partners Cancer Council Victoria, BreastScreen Victoria, and the Victorian Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Organisation.
