The opportunity

This hybrid working role, blends working from home with outreach to local schools, communities, and services. This position can be full or part time by negotiation, for a fixed term maternity period of 12 months. (Work vehicle provided for outreach)

In this role, you will provide opportunities for parents to engage in activities to increase their knowledge and skills, raise awareness of childhood development, and increase social support within communities. Working within an early intervention and prevention approach, you will also work with children to improve their mental, emotional, and developmental, wellbeing and capabilities. Activities may include facilitating individual and group School Programs, PPP Positive Parenting Coaching, Circles of Security, Bringing up Great Kids Coaching, and Peers Support Groups. Activities will be delivered face to face or digitally to best suit parent/family needs.

VPG is offering an attractive remuneration package consisting of an all inclusive salary and Super and the opportunity to increase the value of your take-home pay with NFP salary sacrifice options. Vehicle provided for work related outreach. Salary Expectations: SCHADS Level 3-4 dependent on qualifications and experience.

You will also be provided with the opportunity for ongoing professional development to become accredited in a variety of parenting programs and supervision within a highly experienced team. 

Role requirements

  1. Tertiary qualifications in related field Allied Health/Health, Education, Social, Work, Human Services, Psychology etc.
  2. Knowledge/experience in childhood development and working with families/parents.
  3. Current Qld Drivers License .
  4. Qld Blue Card.

VPG is excited to offer the role of Every Family Practitioner, a dynamic and flexible position that combines work at our Centre with outreach (vehicle provided) to local schools, communities, and services. This position can be tailored to fit your schedule, offering either full or part time options.

As an Every Family Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing parents with engaging activities that enhance their knowledge and skills, while promoting childhood development and fostering strong social support within communities. Parent and Children's participation is entirely voluntary and pro-active. Your work will also focus on improving children's mental, emotional, and developmental wellbeing and capabilities through various activities, including facilitating individual and group School Programs, PPP Positive Parenting Coaching, Circles of Security, Bringing up Great Kids Coaching, and Peer Support Groups. These activities will be delivered face-to-face or digitally, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of parents.

The benefits

Your expected salary, based on qualifications, is estimated to be between $73,000 and $85,000 (SCHADS Level 3-4).

As part of our commitment to your professional growth, you'll have the opportunity to participate in ongoing professional development within a highly experienced team. The estimated value of approved Parenting Programs Accreditation (listed above) is up to $5,000.

Role requirements

To succeed in this impactful role, we are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • tertiary qualifications in a related field such as Allied Health/Health, Education, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, etc or working towards
  • knowledge and experience in childhood development and working with families/parents
  • current Qld Driver's License
  • Qld Blue Card.
