QScript: What you need to know
Following the Commonwealth Department of Health’s proposal in 2018, Queensland Health has introduced QScript—a real-time prescription monitoring system. Since 28 October 2021, all relevant health practitioners are required to have registered and be accessing the system.

COVID-19 vaccinations: Extensions of the Free Interpreting Service to non-Medicare patients
To support the Australian Government's objective to encourage non-English speaking cohorts in the Australian community to the vaccinated against COVID-19, the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) has temporarily extended the Free Interpreting Service to now cover non-Medicare patients receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

Active Ingredient Prescribing update
It is now mandatory for all Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and Repatriation Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits (RPBS) prescriptions to include information about the active ingredients in medicines.
