The online portal is for healthcare providers and will integrate with primary care practice management systems Best Practice and MedicalDirector in the near future to enable these providers secure online access to patient bowel and cervical screening information. These channels have been developed to assist healthcare providers and practice staff to more-easily access patient’s bowel and cervical screening data, ensure their screening remains up-to-date and to support improved patient cancer screening outcomes.

The portal enables:

• health care providers to manage their patient’s participation in the National Cervical Screening Program (NCSP) and National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP), including opting out and deferring their screening
• health care providers to access screening information for participants of both programs (including those who have been invited to participate, but have not done so yet)
• general practitioners and other specialists to lodge clinical forms relating to both programs electronically.
