This new and freshly renovated Medical and Skin Cancer clinic is located in a prime position on a busy street and boasts a modern work environment with friendly full time nursing and administration staff. There is on-site pathology collection and access to diabetes support and audiology testing, with pharmacy and other allied health nearby.

Alfa Medical and Skin Clinic cater to a wide demographic, and the successful applicant will offer full spectrum care to patients, including chronic disease management, Work Cover, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander assessments, family health and DVA. Existing provision exists for a GP with special interest in skin cancer, but other special interest areas would be supported. Future opportunity exists to assist with Registrar training and management.

Requirements

  • Current registration with AHPRA.

  • Familiarity with computerised medical software, in particular Best Practice.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for working with clinical staff to improve the standard of health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through the provision of culturally valid, holistic primary health care services.

The successful applicant will hold a nursing degree together with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Queensland immunisation endorsement. Recent practical experience within a community health setting is highly desirable.
