Urgent Care/Practice Nurse

We are currently seeking experienced RNs to join the team on a full-time or part-time basis.

Cairns Urgent Care Clinic is located in Edmonton and offers acute care and treatment for conditions that are not life-threatening but require urgent assistance. 

The clinic is open 7 days a week from 8am to 10pm weekdays and 9am to 6pm on weekends and public holidays. 

About the role:

The role will be responsible for identifying and triaging suitable patients and providing front-line care while working alongside our General Practitioners.

Duties include:

• Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments to efficiently triage patients.
• Deliver high-quality patient care and take decisive actions for patients requiring emergency attention or experiencing health deterioration.
• Offer healthcare-related education to patients as needed.
• Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.

To be considered you must have the following;

• A clinical background in general practice and/or triage.
• Providing compassion, empathy and understanding to patients and their families whilst maintaining a professional approach.
• Be a team player with strong critical thinking skills, who can work both independently and collaboratively in our dynamic team environment.
• Effective time management and prioritisation
• Flexibility to work across all shifts/days.
• Current ALS/CPR
• AHPRA Registration
