Townsville Community Falls Team
Townsville Community Falls Service launched in late 2024 and is a rapid response unit of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, dedicated to reviewing clients at home as soon as possible after a fall event. We are also partnering with the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to be part of the statewide QAS Falls Co-Response Program. In this program, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists are paired with paramedics to attend non-life-threatening fall events following Triple Zero (000) calls.
We invite you to join us for an information session about the Townsville Community Falls Service.
This session is designed for anyone working with clients who may be at risk of falling, including Allied Health Services, Care Coordinators, and Nursing Staff.
Agenda
7.30am: Meet and Greet with team at Townsville University Hospital Robert Douglas Auditorium.
QAS Falls Co-Response Program Coordinator will also have a range of QAS lift devices to show off at this session. Light refreshments will be available.
8.30am: Information session about Townsville Community Falls Service and the QAS Falls Co-Response Program.
This event can be attended via Teams, as well as in person. You can choose your attendance in the registration form.
