Managing Resistant Hypertension in chronic kidney disease

Posted Monday 25 November 2024 | Kidney Health Australia

One in three adults in Australia has hypertension, but only 11% of adults whose high blood pressure has been detected have it under control. Hypertension remains an important modifiable chronic kidney disease (CKD) risk factor that can be difficult to reliably diagnose and treat.

In this activity Kidney Health Australia explore the difference between resistant hypertension and pseudo-resistant hypertension, and how hypertension and CKD relate. Finally, best practice treatments in the primary care setting will be discussed for individuals living with chronic kidney disease.

RACGP and ACRRM EA hours - 1 (pending approval).
