Facts, Fever, and Endocarditis

Posted Tuesday 26 November 2024 | Seqirus

Join Dr Penny Hutchinson and Dr Robert Horvath as they explore the changing epidemiology of Q fever in Australia and review the diagnosis and management of chronic Q fever.

Primary care plays an active role in identifying acute (e.g. fever) and chronic manifestations (e.g. endocarditis) of this nationally notifiable disease. Traditionally, Q fever risk has predominantly been attributed to occupational exposure through working alongside infected animals, mainly sheep, cattle, and goats.

Attend this event to learn more about the groups most at risk within Australia and why it's important to diagnose early to help minimise long-term complications in your patients.
