Demystifying Dementia Course - part one

NQPHN, together with Dementia Training Australia, invite general practitioners, nurses, and clinical staff working in primary care practice across the northern Queensland region to attend part one of a two-part webinar series.

The Demystifying Dementia online course provides a practical and step-wise approach to improving knowledge, skills, and confidence in recognising, diagnosing, and managing dementia in the general practice setting.

Session one learning outcomes

  • Recognise features of dementia and cognitive impairment.
  • Explain the trajectory of dementia and cognitive impairment.
  • Apply the inclusion and exclusion criteria frameworks in assessing patients for a possible diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Dementia.
