Training in sexual assault disclosure, response, and referral pathway

The Women’s Centre in collaboration with Northern Queensland Primary Health Network invite general practitioners, practice nurses, and practice managers to attend an education session on sexual assault disclosure, response, and the referral pathway. 

Training topics:

• Creating awareness of the prevalence and driving factors behind sexual violence
• Responding to disclosures of sexual assault
• Sexual assault within intimate partner violence
• Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
• Townsville’s referral pathway
• Sexual Assault Support Service (SASS) and their role in SART
• Forensic examinations for victims of sexual assault
• Police investigations and their role in SART
• Sexual Health follow up
• Q&A
