CHQ HHS are conducting a needs analysis to improve the prevention, early diagnosis, and management of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes in Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and youth. The results of this need analysis will inform strategies to optimize prevention and management of prediabetes and Type 2 Diabetes in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and youth and enhance better integration between primary health care and hospital services.

We will be yarning with and listening to primary health care professionals to understand the barriers, enablers, and gaps to the prevention and management of paediatric prediabetes and type 2 diabetes, and the needs of primary health care service providers to build the needs analysis.
