Mackay Disaster Planning Workshop for Residential Aged Care Homes

Does your facility have a current Disaster Management Plan?
Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN), in partnership with Mackay Hospital and Health Services, will host a FREE Disaster Planning Workshop for Residential Aged Care Homes (RACHs).

This workshop is for anyone within your RACH who has input in planning for disaster management and business continuity planning.

The event aims to:

• increase understanding of Queensland Disaster Management arrangements and responsibilities
• promote tools and resources to assist aged care facilities in developing emergency plans
• facilitate scenario discussion to workshop considerations across agencies and facilities.
• increase awareness of local hazards and risks.
• enhance resilience networks for the aged care sector.
