Are you interested in the lymphatic system?

Do you have clients presenting to your clinic with a history of cancer, lymphoedema, lipoedema, or other conditions related to the lymphatic system, but you’re unable to treat them because you haven’t yet had the appropriate training? This intensive, Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA) accredited Decongestive Lymphatic Therapy practitioner course will be perfect for you!

Learning outcomes

  • Detailed understanding of the lymphatic system.
  • Competency to treat/assess clients with lymph node removal and other conditions involving the lymphatic system in all body areas.
  • Competency to deliver the five key elements of Decongestive Lymphatic Therapy:
    • compression therapy
    • manual lymphatic drainage
    • skin care
    • exercise
    • modification of activities of daily living.
  • Exposure to adjunctive measures such as SIPC, LLLT, kinesiotape, Lymph Scanner.
  • Liaising with other medical professionals.
  • Recognise when a patient requires referral.
  • Work within your scope.
  • four weeks online self-paced, four zoom sessions (one per theory week), six days face-to-face.
