Marcela Fischer is presenting Culture and Mental Health Workshops during October - in Atherton on 13 October 2022 and two (2) sessions in Cairns on 27 October 2022.
Workshop objectives:
- gain an understanding of mental health issues for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
- explore how CALD clients perceive mental health and mental health care
- discuss acculturation processes and the implications for mental health in CALD populations
- discuss barriers to accessing services and strategies to provide person-centered care in the mental health context.
