The week’s activities focused on the 1967 Referendum and the 30th Anniversary of Mabo Day, with staff recognising and reflecting on the significant dates through a time capsule activity, pledging change in writing on canvases, watching ABC podcast ‘Healing the trauma of the Stolen Generations’, and joining in the many NRW Indigenous cultural celebrations held across the NQPHN region.
How can we help you today?
Seeking your feedback on MH4L program
Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) invites all North Queensland general practitioners to submit an expression of interest (EOI) to participate in the first 2022 NQPHN GP focus groups.
The GP focus groups will provide GPs with a safe and interactive place to have a voice and provide feedback to NQPHN.
The focus groups also provide a valuable platform for NQPHN to share:
- changes to how we work
- important reform information
- outcomes of local PHN work.
It is well documented that a well-resourced general practice sector is essential to addressing the existing and future challenges facing the Australian health system. This will be the first focus group in a set of two NQPHN GP focus groups for 2022, and will target conversations with GPs about what is required in general practice to address longstanding issues facing patients, the general practice team, and funders.
These focus groups will take place across the NQPHN region in Mackay, Townsville, and Cairns, with both in person and virtual options. A light supper will be provided at in person sessions.
Proposed dates - July 2022
- Cairns: Tuesday 5 July 2022
- Townsville: Wednesday 20 July 2022
- Mackay: Thursday 28 July 2022
