Electronic prescriptions allow for the prescribing and dispensing of medicines and serve as an alternative to paper prescriptions. They were first introduced in 2020, with tokens being sent to patients via SMS or email. Patients can use the token and get their prescription dispensed from a pharmacy. They can now also choose to have their active prescriptions consolidated into a list, known as an Active Script List (ASL) or MySL.
