We understand that a range of factors can impact mental health in older people. Residents living in Aged Care Homes with low to moderate mental health concerns are eligible and encouraged to access free support to help them improve their mental and emotional wellbeing. We have commissioned seven Psychological Therapy providers to deliver services to RACH services across the greater Cairns, Townsville, and Mackay regions, including rural areas. This model of dedicated mental health support is built on ensuring access to all homes across our footprint, with each home having its own designated provider to deliver these essential services.

Referral processes have been developed between each home and their allocated provider, and this is the best method of initiating referrals for this service. 

If you have an existing referral process with a psychological therapy provider, please continue to use that process or contact the allocated provider for the specific RACH.
