Reporting directly to Practice Principal, key responsibilities will include:
- leadership and management of the administrative team, nursing, and medical staff
- overseeing staff performance and the day to day running of the practice
- ensuring continuous high standard of service delivery to patients
- undertaking reception duties to support the team
- accounting and banking
- rostering, recruitment, and reporting
- understanding of the overall General Practice policies
- knowledge of Medicare, Online claiming processes, DVA, Workcover, Private billing, and PIP protocols
- experience using Best Practice software
- knowledge of Practice Accreditation
- directing and maintaining Quality Improvement (QI) and reporting back to the practice owners.
Selection criteria:
- previous experience in a Practice Manager role is preferred
- previous experience with Best Practice medical software is preferred
- sound knowledge of medical processes, Medicare, and DVA billings is essential
- leadership skills and excellent communication skills
- multitasking and problem solving
- the successful candidate should demonstrate good communication and time management skills.
