Full time General Practitioner (GP) wanted to join our busy Family Medical Centre. Cooktown Medical Centre supports a very large area (MMM6).
Open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday, plus public holidays.
Services include:
- age/child/Indigenous health checks
- chronic disease plans
- women's health/pap smears
- mental health support
- vaccinations
- skin excisions
- wound care
- pathology collection
- continuity of health within the Cook Shire Community.
Cooktown Medical Centre is nestled in the Centre of a very Tropical Coastal town with a relaxing lifestyle.
Cooktown Medical Centre can offer two types of accommodation:
- A two-bedroom duplex with under cover car parking, which is location across the street from the local food store and a five-minute stroll to the Medical Centre.
- A one-bedroom flat above the Medical Centre with under cover car parking.
Cooktown has a childcare centre, kindergarten, and primary/high school. You'll also find a local public swimming pool, gym, and tennis court.
Highlights of the area include beautiful hiking tracks, great 4WD roads, and freshwater (croc safe) swimming holes.
