About us We have a team of 6 clinicians, who are physios focused on treating Musculoskeletal and Pelvic Health conditions.

This role is a part-time position for the successful candidate who will work closely with our Physios and admin team to help provide an exceptional client experience and to assist with various front desk tasks within our busy Clinic.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Customer Service – Provide a top-level customer service interaction for our clients, organising client schedules, handling payments and all with positive people skills!
  • being involved in  the daily operations of the clinic
  • Managing appointments and bookings for patients
  • Taking payments and  invoicing 
  • Liaising with practise manager
  • Practitioner Support – following up on communication between clients and practitioners as required
  • Maintaining a clean clinic environment for clients and staff
  • Bring our small business to the next level and embrace responsibilities and tasks
  • maintaining clinic washing services 

Qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience in medical,  allied health or legal reception would be highly regarded, but not essential
  • Understanding of HICAPS, Medicare, Workcover, DVA programs also highly regarded but not essential
  • Extremely high-level multitasker, being able to work in a busy and high paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Thrive in building relationships with clients

Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is one of 31 regionalised and independent PHNs established nationally by the Commonwealth Department of Health to provide local communities with better access to improved primary healthcare services.

The NQPHN region extends from Moranbah in the south, up to the Torres Strait in the north, and west to Croydon and Kowanyama.

The role

The Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) Indigenous Health Project Officer (IHPO) will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of Integrated Team Care (ITC) within the Department of Health’s Integrated Team Care Program implementation guidelines.

The purpose of the IHPO role is to improve access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to mainstream primary health services, general practices and allied health services within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) catchment areas. The IHPO will also work closely with the Integrated Team Care Coordinators and Outreach Workers to deliver culturally competent health care services, establish stakeholder relationships and service linkages to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

These IHPO position will be working and supporting ACCHOs, mainstream services such as Hospital and Health Services, allied health, and general practice throughout rural and remote communities, with the aim of improving access to and achieving better health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the NQPHN region.

The successful candidate

  • It is essential that the person who holds this position be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25, 104 and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
  • Minimum Certificate IV or Diploma in a health-related discipline and two-three years experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with ACCHOs, Hospital and Health Services, mainstream general practice, as well as allied health services in the community.
  • Good written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in agenda preparation, minute taking, and correspondence preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with regard to sensitive information.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to become proficient in other software programs as required.
  • Well-developed organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail.

Reporting to the Information Systems Manager, the experienced and skilled IT Support and Implementation Officer will coordinate the provision of Information Technology (IT) support and services to maintain and develop IT systems and networks within NQPHN. 

You will perform both technical and administrative tasks, and be the primary liaison point between NQPHN and contracted IT service providers in order to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient functioning of computers, network, software, cloud services, and telecom systems.

You will assist the Information Systems Manager in informing and advising management and the wider organisation regarding IT related issues, and assist in the development of procedures, standards, and solutions to business needs.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • provide level 1 and level 2 help desk technical support to NQPHN staff
  • configure and structure internal facing information services including intranet and file systems
  • provide advice and training for staff and managers regarding the use of technology and the application of IT standards
  • support and assist in configuration and development of simple instructions regarding email, device management, tele and video conferencing
  • liaise and coordinate with IT service providers responsible for delivery of level 3 help desk, support, and IT projects to provide timely and effective resolution of issues and completion of goals
  • support the implementation and application of IT policies and standards
  • maintain IT asset and license register
  • monitor and ensure reliable operations of backups, security scans etc.
  • maintain up to date current state documentation of IT systems
  • apply sound change management practices to all updates and system enhancements
  • contribute to the development of policy, standards, procedure, and plans for NQPHN IT systems and their use
  • provide advice, recommendations, and assistance to management and the wider organisation in finding technology solutions for business needs.
