About the role
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality person-centered clinical services that facilitate positive health and well-being outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- client care (wound management, continence and catheter care, medication management)
- assessment, care planning, and review
- risk management
- client and staff support and education
- managing complaints and feedback
- conducting audits and evaluating improvements
- ensuring clinical documentation is up to date
- overseeing policies and guidelines in collaboration with the CEO.
Requirements you hold
- AHPRA Registration
- National Police Check
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Queensland Driver’s License
- Experience in an aged care or community environment (preferred)
- Understanding and knowledge of clinical governance and quality management systems (or willingness to learn)
Personal qualities/competencies
- Person-centered approach that respects the independence and rights of older adults.
- Strong assessment skills for developing individualised care plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and healthcare professionals.
- Cultural awareness and the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Solution-focused mindset with strong self-management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
