The successful applicant would be expected to be proactively involved with providing nursing support in all aspects of General Practice and would need to be able to develop strong working relationships built on trust and respect, with all members of the team. Summary of role description:

• Provide comprehensive nursing support to all aspects of General Practice as required including but not limited to wound care, childhood and adult immunisations, support for minor procedures including sterilisation of instruments and infection control procedures, care plans and health assessments including motivational interviewing to facilitate health outcomes, triage, opportunistic screening to optimise preventative health outcomes, cold chain/vaccine management, medical stock management.
• Maintain own professional qualifications including self assessment and peer review to ensure compliance with evidence based practice and new/emerging fields of practice.
• Participate in team quality improvement activities and staff meetings designed to improve workplace compliance and drive evidence based service delivery.
