Paediatric Sepsis Series – Retrieval of the Septic Child

Posted Monday 25 November 2024 | Queensland Paediatric Sepsis Program

Please join the Paediatric Sepsis Series – Retrieval of the Septic Child, part of a monthly series of online education sessions brought to you by the Queensland Paediatric Sepsis Program (QPSP).

Sepsis is a leading cause of preventable death and disability in children. The care of paediatric sepsis patients in regional or remote locations of Queensland has many challenges and may require escalation and transfer to another facility.

Paediatric Sepsis Series – Retrieval of the Septic Child, is a co-presentation by the QPSP and Children’s Health Queensland Retrieval Services (CHQRS). The session will cover the requirements for local paediatric critical care provision while awaiting transfer, the maintenance of communication with the retrieving service as well as communication with patient’s family during a very stressful period.

This webinar will be held via Microsoft Teams.

We appreciate that the scheduled time will not suit everyone, however, we invite you to register and pre submit any questions you would like answered during the recorded session. You will then receive an email once the recording is available and you can watch ‘on demand’.
